The programme allows participants the opportunity to upgrade themselves with the necessary skills  and competencies in the emerging areas of asset and wealth management under the SkillsFuture Initiative.       
  • Course Aim

    The Specialist Diploma in Fund Management & Administration aims to:
    Provide participants the opportunity to upgrade themselves with the necessary knowledge and competencies in the fund industry.  Enhance the competitiveness of participants in the fund industry by covering both front office and middle/back office operations.

    Post-Diploma Certificate in Fund Administration (135 hours)

  • Target Participants

    The programme is targeted at mid-level executives who aspire to deepen their knowledge and skill sets in the fund industry, so that they are well prepared to assume supervisory and management positions. Related functions include settlement, operations as well as risk management.
  • Certification

    Participants will receive a Post-Diploma Certificate upon successful completion of each semester and will be conferred a Specialist Diploma in Fund Management & Administration upon obtaining the two Post-Diploma Certificates.
  • Admission Requirements

    A diploma from a local polytechnic or degree with minimum of 1 year of work experience, preferably in a related field.

    A good working knowledge in Accounting and/or Mathematics will be beneficial.

    Holders of other equivalent academic qualification from foreign institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

    Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on:

    Evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience;


    Supporting evidence of competency readiness.

    Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or proficiency test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

  • Course schedule (conducting days & time)

    The course is 270 hours and comprises of two Post-Diploma Certificates. The programme can be completed in 2 semesters over a period of 12 months. Lessons are held two evenings a week, from 7pm to 10pm for each session.

  • Course delivery methods and assessments

    The course will be delivered using a combination of lectures, tutorial-based classroom discussions, individual and group research projects and case study-based learning.

    About 20% to 30% of the lessons will be conducted or available through e-Learning/self-directed learning mode.

    Course assessment consists of continuous assessments in the form of written tests, class participation, presentations, project work and end-of-semester examinations.

    Full Time Diploma Graduates from the Class of 2021 and 2020 and graduates who complete their National Service in year 2021 and 2020 can sign up for one free Specialist Diploma course offered by NYP

    Please note: Application is for 2021 intake. Participants will start with Post-Diploma Certificate in Fund Administration (from Aug 2021), followed by Post-Diploma Certificate in Fund Management (from Feb 2022), subject to changes.  NYP reserves the right to reschedule/cancel any programme and amend the fees/info without prior notice.
