About the Course

This new specialist diploma aims at developing participants in a thought process with User-Centric Design approach to create innovative and encompassing solutions for the organisation and businesses. Participants will gain a deep understanding of Service Experience Design, an emerging area of discipline that generates well thought out experiences through a holistic and systematic approach. Participants will also learn about cross-disciplinary practice employing various skills in design, ethnography research, behavioural insights, experience mapping, business innovation, service marketing, communications and project management. This would enable the individual to widen his or her job scope horizontally across the various departments within the organisation or company. Participants will be able to contribute effectively as a catalyst at an executive management level in the company to drive innovations.
  • Certification

    Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: - Define, analyse, synthesise information to create and develop innovative solutions across a wide span of industries with the adaptive use of Service Experience Design methodologies. - Acquire new skills and knowledge across Business Organisation and Service Experience Design domains. - Visualise and communicate ideas and concepts effectively and professionally to various stakeholders. -Contribute effectively both as a leader and a catalyst within the organisation to drive towards a desired customer experience with the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary organisation
  • Admission Requirements

    A relevant Polytechnic Diploma in design disciplines. Preference will be given to applicants with the relevant work experience. Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on: (i) Evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience; OR (ii) Supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
  • Course schedule (conducting days & time)

    Course Schedule The total course duration for the Specialist Diploma is 300 hours covering 8 modules. It comprises 2 individual Post-Diploma Certificates; namely; a Post-Diploma Certificate in Customer Focused Innovation, and a Post-Diploma Certificate in Experience Design & Management. Classes are conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7pm ? 10pm. The modules are: -Business Organisation & Service Design -Experience Mapping Techniques -Design Thinking & Innovation -User-Centric Design -Service Marketing & Customer Behaviour -Experiential Design -Organisational Communication -Design Project

    Full Time Diploma Graduates from the Class of 2021 and 2020 and graduates who complete their National Service in year 2021 and 2020 can sign up for one free Specialist Diploma course offered by NYP
